History
We started/'ve started it slowly, with an idea to improve the quality of regional hotel service.
The Balkan Alliance of Hotel Associations – BAHA, was founded on the initiative of the Macedonian
Association of Hotels (HOTAM), the Bulgarian Hotels Association (BAHA) and the Hotel Association of
Serbia (HORES) in Ohrid in 2005. The idea for BAHA came from Doncho Tanevsky. Since 2016, Belgrade
has been the seat of the association, the founders of the Balkan Association of Hotels are associations of
hotel and catering economies of Macedonia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and
Albania. Later, the Association of Kosovo Hoteliers joined the association. The Association was created as
a result of aspiration of the Balkan hoteliers to overcome narrow national interests, remove barriers
between themselves and ensure the harmonization of business conditions, primarily in the field of fiscal
policy in order to make this region more adequately presented and promoted as a unique tourist area on
the international tourist map.

As for nature there are archaeological and cultural-historical heritage which need to be saved and improved for the next generation as a part of a common legacy. BAHA is trying to keep surroundings and nature safe from all the pollution and other negative effects in order to maintain this legacy.

Organization of professional gatherings, seminars and conferences in order to improve quality of business and cooperation with educational institutions . Providing exchange of information, quality and programs with more content for different types of education and personnel exchange.
